Community initiative status
SEE currently operates as a student-led community initiative. It must not be represented as a registered 501(c)(3), registered charity, or provider of tax-deductible donations unless formal legal status is obtained.
Program availability
Services are free, but applications do not guarantee placement, acceptance, a match, a specific timeline, service hours, recommendation letters, or leadership roles. Availability depends on capacity and fit.
Participation expectations
Participants must communicate respectfully, follow scheduling and approved-communication rules, protect privacy, use program resources appropriately, and follow applicable site or partner rules.
Role boundaries
SEE provides educational assistance and peer mentorship. SEE does not provide emergency services, therapy, medical advice, legal advice, or licensed mental-health treatment.
Minors and guardians
Parent or guardian consent and participation may be required. Private tutor-to-student communication outside approved methods is not permitted.
Operational review
The code of conduct, cancellation process, attendance expectations, guardian consent, screening, incident response, and partner responsibilities require adult and legal review before launch.
