Privacy should be part of the program—not an afterthought.

SEE limits what it asks for, never publishes application information, and treats information involving minors with particular care.

Scope

This policy describes the website and application forms operated by SEE, a student-led community initiative in Holly Springs, North Carolina.

This policy requires adult and legal review before launch. It is operational guidance, not legal advice.

Information we collect

SEE collects contact, school, grade, scheduling, academic-goal, volunteer-qualification, reference, partnership, and consent information needed to review a request or inquiry.

Do not submit diagnoses, medical records, passwords, government identification, payment credentials, or emergency disclosures.

How information is used

Information is used to review requests, assess program fit, match support when possible, coordinate approved communication, contact references, support safety, and improve program operations. Applications are never published as student profiles.

Form delivery

Form submissions are transmitted to Formspree, SEE’s form-delivery provider, so the SEE team can receive and review them. Formspree may process and retain submission data under its own privacy and security terms.

Information about minors

A parent or guardian may be required to participate in consent, scheduling, and communication. Information involving minors should be accessible only to authorized reviewers and appropriate program adults.

Sharing and retention

SEE should share information only when necessary for a program, safety, legal obligation, or approved partner process. Retention periods, deletion procedures, access controls, and any future storage provider must be formally reviewed before launch.

Your choices

You may ask SEE to correct or delete information when appropriate by emailing connectwithsee@gmail.com. Some records may need to be retained for safety, operational, or legal reasons.

Security

The site uses server-side validation, sanitization, a honeypot, rate limiting, and server-only email credentials. No system can promise absolute security. Credentials must never be committed to public files.
